I flew with my mom to Midland to visit my little sister and her family this weekend. I think this is actually the only time I have ever been on a prop plane. We boarded about 45 minutes late and then the pilot came on in the least confident voice I have ever heard and said that our plane was not actually cleared to fly at night. They bumped another flight and gave us the plane (the people in the waiting room gave us such dirty looks...). Luckily I talked the drunk chatterbox cowgirl in the seat next to mine into switching seats with my mom so I didnapos;t have to smell/listen to her the whole time. After we got on the new plane we waited about half an hour for a fuel truck to fill up the plane.

We did eventually arrive and my sister picked us up. I have never been to her house before and it is a very nice place. While we are technically in Midland, we are far enough out that to get to Midland you have to "go into town". I went or a walk last night and was amazed at the number of stars that we never see at home, and the fact that other than seeing my sisters porch light in the distance I might as well have been walking around with my eyes closed.

I have been having fun playing with Samuel (1 1/2 years) and Ethan (2-3 months). Samuel has decided that he is not going to open his mouth to talk. Listening to him is like hearing a conversation in the next room where you canapos;t make out the words, but it sounds like language. Fortunately he knows a little sign language and once they taught me I can at least figure out when he is hungry or thirsty, or when he says please.

I also had a very long conversation about motorcycle physics with two people who knew so much more about it than me. At least I am learning something new. Mostly I miss being at home with my man and with my bed. The worst part about giving your old crappy furniture to your family - the fact that you may end up sleeping on it in the future

The entire house left for church this morning and I am sitting around catching up on stuff for work. I hope everyone is having a Sunday as peaceful as mine.
